Man charged over Abbotsford pedestrian death

A man has been charged over the death of a pedestrian in Abbotsford earlier this month.

A 74-year-old Fitzroy resident died after being hit by a car as he was crossing Johnston St at about 9am on April 10.

The 69-year-old South Yarra man alleged to have been driving has been charged with dangerous driving causing death. He has been granted bail prior to a hearing in Melbourne Magistrates' Court .
