For those who just can't pick a team or perhaps never felt the need to, the Corner Hotel's new winter scarf offers the experience of some footy-style apparel. Available online and over the bar at the Corner, the scarves are no doubt helping plug a large gap left by reduced gigs and crowds at the venue.

GRAFFITI BEGONE

For those residents and businesses that experience problems with graffiti, the council offers two free graffiti removal visits a year, after which DIY removal kits and paint vouchers are available. The kits, containing gloves, safety glasses, a brush, 500ml spray bottle of "super safe" chemical and instructions, are suited to exposed brick walls. For other surfaces the council offers $50 Bunnings vouchers to help buy paint.

STUDENTS GALORE

The inaugural Melbourne International Student Week kicks off on Saturday at Fed Square with the aim of bringing together both local and visiting scholars. Saturday's launch will involve comedy performances, a photo exhibition, and Salsa and K-Pop interactive performances. Events over the week include swimming lessons, visa options, a reptile session and food delivery driver program.
