
Thieves steal $20,000 of copper from East Melbourne building site
Police are appealing for information on the theft of around $20,000 worth of copper last month from a building site in East Melbourne.
They believe two drums of copper were stolen from the construction site on Victoria Parade at about 2.15am on Wednesday, July 20.
Investigators have been told two men driving an older model Ford ute stole the drums and fled towards Melbourne West.
Police have released CCTV images of two men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.
Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage.
