ACM announces closure of Inner East Review

Australian Community Media has announced the closure of a number of its community titles, including the Inner East Review.

The Inner East Review, launched on March 16 this year, will publish its last issue - a souvenir edition - next Wednesday, September 7.

ACM is also closing five titles in NSW - The Liverpool City Champion, Wollondilly Advertiser, Fairfield Champion, Camden Advertiser and The Macarthur Advertiser, which had served its community for more than 100 years.

The company said the recent 80 per cent increase in newsprint costs, along with higher distribution expenses, made the titles commercially unviable.
