Woman and teen girl found dead inside home

NSW Police have discovered two dead bodies in a home after being called to conduct a welfare check in Sydney's north west.

Just after 10.20am on July 11 police were called to a home in Marsfield, 16km from Sydney's business district, following reports of a concern for welfare for the occupants.

A woman believed to be in her 50s and a girl, believed to be a teenager, were found dead inside the home.

The woman and girl are yet to be formally identified.

A cause of death has not been determined for either females.

A crime scene has been established inside the home and detectives have started an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of the two people.

Police are in the early stages of the investigation and are calling for witnesses, urging anyone with information in relation to the incident to contact local police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
