Former MasterChef judge Melissa Leong will join actor Samuel Johnson and Gardening Australia's Costa Georgiadis in an SBS series on the struggles surrounding public healthcare in Australia. The Hospital: In The Deep End docu-series "puts the spotlight on Australia's identity" and will be released in 2024, SBS said. Ms Leong said she had been waiting in anticipation for months to announce the three-part series with her "deeply talented and huge hearted" co-stars. "Together, we jump head first into the world of St Vincent Hospital Sydney, following doctors, nurses and hospital staff as they face daily challenges on the front line," she said. Ms Leong, who announced her exit from the MasterChef judging panel on October 23, said she felt blessed to continue her "expansion and evolution in television".
