FITZROY GARDENS
An educational adventure for primary school-aged kids involving maps and clipboards culminates in Easter eggs at the Fitzroy Gardens. Kids, accompanied by an adult, collect their equipment and instructions from the visitor centre. Entry of $7.40 includes entry for one child and one adult to Cook's Cottage. Bookings not required. Wednesday to Monday 10am-3.30pm.
RECORD STORE DAY

Starting in San Francisco, Record Store Day has grown into a global phenomenon which sees collectors line up for special releases and take to the streets on 'record crawls'. Backed by Yarra City Council, the day will be celebrated on Saturday with 'Vinyl Party' in-store gigs at Skydiver Records and The Searchers. Skydiver, which has relocated from Abbotsford to 358 Smith St, Collingwood, is celebrating with DJs all day (Gab Cole, Jon Jones, Leo James, Nice Girl, RBI, Rev Lon, River Yarra, Vartan) and a BBQ in the courtyard. 7am to 7pm. In an all-day affair, The Searchers, at 93 Smith St Fitzroy, will host Disko Bizzarro, Lloyd Briggs and DJ Pjenne. Among local shops stocking the Record Store Day releases are Dutch Vinyl and HUB301 Records in Johnston St, Abbotsford.
DISTILLERY FEST

A vast range of spirits will be on offer at the Australian Distillers Festival, which brings together some of the best craft distillers in the country. Including Victorian-made Grainshaker Vodka and Gospel Whiskey, Bass and Flinders Gin and Jimmy Rum from the Mornington Peninsula plus many interstate offerings. $70 includes a three-hour tasting session and a glass.
