CCTV footage shows Beau Lamarre-Condon purchasing the two surfboard bags he allegedly used to transport the bodies of Sydney couple Luke Davies and Jesse Baird after their murders.

Two days before the couple were allegedly killed at Mr Baird's Paddington home on February 19, Lamarre-Condon is captured on CCTV at a Miranda shopping centre, in Sydney's south, according to 9News which published the footage.

The 28-year-old NSW Police constable can be seen carrying a surfboard bag as he walks out of a sports store at the shopping centre with a friend.

Another clip shows Lamarre-Condon just hours after the alleged double murder returning to the same store, this time alone, and walking out with another surfboard bag.

NSW assistant commissioner Michael Fitzgerald said police believed Mr Baird was initially the only intended target however his partner Mr Davies was also at the Paddington home and killed.

"We will be strongly claiming in our case that this murder was premeditated and a second murder occurred because, unfortunately, of [Mr Davies'] appearance at the house," he told 9News.

"Following the murders [Lamarre-Condon] went back and bought a further surfboard cover."

The bodies of the Sydney couple were found by police in surfboard bags covered in debris at a Bungonia property in the Southern Tablelands on February 27, following information provided by Lamarre-Condon to detectives.

Police believe Lamarre-Condon and Mr Baird had been in "some sort of relationship" previously.

The alleged murderer is accused of "predatory" behaviour towards Mr Baird and suspected of breaking into the 26-year-old former TV presenter's home multiple times.
