Parents are being warned a plush toy chook and rabbit could pose a choking risk to little ones as the products are recalled from supermarket shelves.

Coles has recalled a number of items from its Easter toy range because of faulty stitching.

The fault, found in three colours of the Easter bunny squeezer pals as well as the light-up chicken and bunny, could lead to young children accessing the polyester filling which could be choking hazard.

The products were sold nationally between February 26 and March 20 at Coles supermarkets, local stores and online.

Customers have been urged to keep the toys out of reach of children and return the products to any Coles supermarket for a full refund.

Online shoppers can receive a full refund or credit by contacting customer care on 1800 455 400 and should dispose of the toys.

Coles apologised for the inconvenience.
