ViewJobs is proving to be a vital piece of the regional job shortage puzzle since its launched in March.

Regional businesses like the Tamworth Business Chamber and Obieco Industries have enjoyed "unreal" success in getting high-calibre "bums on seats" quickly.

ViewJobs is a digital job-seeking platform powered by ACM - owner of this masthead - and is Australia's first dedicated employment marketplace connecting job-seekers to career and lifestyle opportunities regionally.

Matthew Sweeney, president of the Tamworth Business Chamber, was impressed with how quickly, efficiently and knowledgably their senior position was filled.

"Our experience of ViewJobs has been amazing. Our brief was understood and the perfect operations manager was found quickly," he said.

His wife Fiona Sweeney is the HR manager of another regional business in Tamworth, Obieco Industries. With ViewJobs, she has filled four skilled positions with people fitting the bill to a tee. Positions which remained vacant for over 12 months on other platforms.

"To get bums in seats within two weeks for some positions is unreal," she said.

"To have a dedicated, regionally-specific platform has made the recruitment process speedier, and you are getting a better employee because the prospective candidates are being targeted for the specific needs of your regionally-based business."

Regional talent shortage solved

Receiving personalised and informed service from a ViewJobs case manager, the couple lauded the platform as just the ticket for regional businesses while also keeping talent in the regions.

ViewJobs launches a dedicated career and lifestyle platform showcasing regional job opportunities for Australians.

She said this new regionally-focused digital platform could be a "game-changer" in addressing the wide-spread regional skill shortage.

"It certainly is proving to be an important piece in a very complex puzzle to help regional areas with job vacancies," she said.

"It has been a game-changer for us."

Mr Sweeney has been enthusiastically recommending the platform to other major companies in the region because "ViewJobs delivers".

"ViewJobs offers so many features and specialised information tools to help people relocate to regional areas, and hopefully we will see a wider impact in getting positions filled across the board," he said.

Proof is in the pudding

ViewJobs founder and managing director Lewis Romano said this early success was a clear indicator of how the platform will continue to boost regional Australian communities.

"It's fantastic validation of a platform which we aways knew would fill a gap in the market," Mr Romano said.

"To see this success so quickly and before our hard market launch in June is proof of its capabilities. Already we are planning new features which will see ViewJobs evolve into something even more powerful."

Visit ViewJobs.com.au or click on the 'Jobs' section at the top of any ACM website for more information about business recruitment or to find your next job.

ViewJobs managing director Lewis Romano said the digital platform had seen strong engagement since it launched in March 4, with:

  • 4000 jobs listed
  • 500 companies posting vacancies
  • Over 100,000 visitors to the platform
  • Thousands of applications & positions filled
