A popular Australian brewery and distillery has closed after administrators failed to find an investor or buyer for the company.

Deeds Brewing and their newly launched distillery, named Future Proof, announced on May 7 that they "have made the difficult decision to wind up our business" after entering administration eight weeks earlier.

The Melbourne company, that won a number of accolades at the 2023 Australian International Beer Awards including 'Champion Brewery of the year', said a 30 per cent discount would be offered until stock was cleared.

They reassured online customers that any outstanding orders would be fulfilled.

"Over the last 12 years, we've poured our hearts into every brew, every interaction, and every moment shared with you," the brewery posted on Instagram.

"Since going into voluntary administration eight weeks ago, we have been searching for a buyer or investor, hoping to keep the spirit of Deeds Brewing alive, but unfortunately, this hasn't come to fruition."

"Our hearts are broken."

Deeds, previously named Quiet Deeds, is the third Melbourne brewery to enter voluntary administration in the past 12 months alongside Hawkers and Dainton.

However, both Hawkers and Dainton have emerged successfully from voluntary administration intact.

Before entering administration the Glen Iris company employed around 50 staff.

Deeds and Future Proof are listed for sale through Deloitte and could still be saved by a buyer.
